- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs, focusing on academic, social, and emotional development.
- Adapt teaching materials and methods to meet the specific needs of each student, in line with their Individual Education Plan (IEP) or Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
- Assist students with specific challenges, such as learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, or sensory impairments, helping them to engage in class activities.
- Foster students’ independence, encouraging them to develop self-confidence and self-advocacy skills.
- Support teachers in delivering lessons, helping to differentiate tasks and make learning accessible for SEN students.
- Monitor student progress, identifying any additional support requirements, and reporting observations to the SEN Coordinator or teacher.
- Education: A Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 CACHE, NVQ) or a specialisation in SEN support is preferred.
- Experience: Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting is preferred. Knowledge of specific needs (such as autism, dyslexia, or ADHD) is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge: Understanding of SEN strategies, safeguarding policies, and health and safety procedures within an educational context.

- Strategic Leadership and School Improvement
- Collaborate with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to develop and implement the school’s strategic goals.
- Assist in creating, evaluating, and improving policies and practices to raise educational standards.
- Lead specific school improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with the school’s vision and values.
- Analyse school data to monitor student progress, identify areas for development, and inform decision-making.
- Play a key role in school self-evaluation and improvement planning.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Experience: Significant teaching experience, preferably with leadership or management responsibilities in a school setting. Prior experience in leading school improvement initiatives or specialised programs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of curriculum development, assessment methods, educational standards, and best practices in teaching and learning.
